Captain Planet Foundation Awards an Environmental Education Grant to Torah Academy of San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas – September 5, 2019 – The Captain Planet Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding educational programs that give students hands-on, project-driven learning experiences with real environmental outcomes, is proud to announce that Shmuel Bass Torah Academy of San Antonio was recently awarded an Environmental Education Grant, specifically the ecoSTEM Earth Kit, which includes supplies for 32 students over multiple grade levels. Shmuel Bass Torah Academy of San Antonio will use these kits towards our TASA Environmental Project Based Learning STEM and Garden Project.

Project Description
The TASA Environmental Project Based Learning STEM and Garden Project will utilize the Captain Planet Foundation’s ecoSTEM Kits to engage our students in project-based learning, which includes observing phenomena, conducting inquiry investigations, making models, collecting data for citizen science projects, creating solutions to engineering challenges, and implementing environmental stewardship projects to solve real-world problems.
