Heftziva Vakanin is the new P.E. Coach (M’amenet in Hebrew) for The Starr Family JDS. While in Israel, and during her service in the Israeli Army, Heftziva became a certified fitness instructor through Wingate Institute and coached the Wingate team for a year and a half.
Earlier in life, she was a seasoned floor gymnast and hip-hop dancer. All her life she has been passionate and involved in sports, and she is excited to share her enthusiasm with the students at the school.
Coach Heftzi recently moved with her husband and children to San Antonio from Israel. She is thrilled to be coaching at the school where her two young children are students.
