Melanie Levy has joined our school with 17 years of experience teaching in a yeshiva setting. Originally from San Antonio, Melanie grew up in Deal, New Jersey where she attended and graduated from Hillel Yeshiva School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and English from Monmouth University. Moving to San Antonio 3 years ago, Melanie is now a Texas certified teacher, and qualified to teach Early Childhood through sixth grade.
Throughout her career, Melanie has taught various grade levels and played a pivotal role in running student programming. Over the years, Melanie’s innovative ideas and collaborative nature have created school wide programs that have become an annual tradition. Known for her infectious spirit, she brings enthusiasm and energy to the classroom, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Her commitment to education and her students was recognized when she was honored with the Teacher of the Year award in 2020.
With a lifelong passion for working with children, Melanie has been actively involved in education from an early age by running parasha classes at her synagogue and serving as a camp counselor at the JCC in New Jersey. Her dedication to community and education has guided her to become a teacher, where she aims to give back and make a positive impact on her students’ lives. Melanie’s passion for teaching and deep connection to her heritage continue to inspire and enrich her students’ lives today.
