Ivrit & Art Teacher
Morah Keren Ashkenazi is an Israel native, originally from Holon, Israel. She is married with four children, and is the youngest child of six siblings. After graduating from high school which specialized in engineering, Morah Keren served in the IDF where she learned a great deal about leadership and was part of a secret coding unit that worked with soldiers in the field.
Since then, Morah Keren has worked in a number of different educational settings including teaching Grades K-6 in an after school English program in Israel, and as a substitute for various grade levels. In 2008, the Ashkenazi family moved to Chicago where Morah Keren worked for two years as a substitute and volunteer Hebrew assistant teacher at Hillel Torah Day School.
Morah Keren is excited to be back again at TASA teaching the beauty of the Hebrew language to our students. She also loves that she will once again be TASA’s art teacher, where she loves to combine the Hebrew language, Jewish holidays and culture, and the colors and textures of art into an explosion of creativity for students!
